Bakersfield opened their outdoor season at the Cal State LA Invitational while UTPA kicked off their season at the Islanders Open last weekend.

UTPA's Robin Galloso and teammate Cristina Santiago Bravo have been named the Western Athletic Conference women's track and field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for March 9-15.
